McMullen in San Francisco Chronicle! Piedmont shop owner Sherri McMullen eyes fresh looks from runways

Sherri McMullen is honored and thrilled to be featured in San Francisco Chronicle Style Section today discussing the Spring 2015 collections from New York and London Fashion Weeks!

Tanya Taylor is “a designer to know,” says McMullen. The CFDA Vogue Fashion Fund finalist — whose designs were recently worn by First Lady Michelle Obama — takes her label to a new level for spring. “Bold color was key,” says McMullen, who’s carried Tanya Taylor’s line in her shop for the past two seasons. Taylor’s “color palette of orange, blue, black and white created a cohesive and beautiful collection.” McMullen plans on buying Taylor’s signature shirtdresses and full skirts. “This collection works on many body types and a wide age range.” Models pose backstage at the Tanya Taylor fashion show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Spring 2015 at Industria Studios on September 5, 2014 in New York City. McMullen voted one of the top 100 shops by San Francisco Chronicle!

We are thrilled to be part of a group of amazing retailers and thank San Francisco Chronicle and their team for recognizing McMullen as a top shop in the SF Bay Area!

McMullen “Don’t let the ladylike interior fool you,” Davis says. “Owner Sherri McMullen is a fashion risk-taker.” And she’s accomplished the virtually impossible at her boutique by curating an age-defying collection of labels, including Sea, Jenni Kayne and Rag & Bone, that appeal to stylish women from their 20s to their 80s. 1235 Grand Ave., Piedmont.
