New York based designer Max Osterweis began his label Suno in 2008 after riots and a damaged economy arose post election in his second home town of Kenya.
Using traditional Kenyan fabrics that Osterweis had been collecting for years, Max collaborated with designer Erin Beatty to create a small collection predominately produced in Kenya.
Suno now produces in Kenya, Peru, New York and India, and combines both high end tailoring and traditional techniques and fabrics to create quirky, unique pieces that reflect Osterweis's upbringing in his beloved Kenya.
Suno provides a refreshing look at fashion with its use of bold prints, eclectic silhouettes, and playful color palettes.
This luxury line has been called one of the most "colorful and optimistic" labels of recent times, with its playful attitude and passion to support the Kenyan textile industry as well as American production.
We are in love with Suno's new Resort collection, featuring bright florals and dreamy pastels.
