Starting in her 250 sq. ft San Francisco apartment 15 years ago, Suzi Johnson, the woman behind
Souchi's sumptuous knits, began her career by turning knitting mistakes into sought after garments. Educated at The Academy of Art in San Francisco, Suzi made her way from student to knit extraordinaire simply by wearing her designs on the streets of San Francisco. After a chance encounter with a buyer, Souchi was in business and made its presence in luxury boutiques all over the world. Today, Suzi is still using the finest cashmere and wool yarns to create unique, luxurious, live-in knits that create a sense of true luxury.
Save the date! ...Suzi will be joining us in store October 11th for a trunk show at McMullen.

Q:
What was your inspiration for this season's collection?
A:
moving to aspen inspired this collection.
it is cold, beautiful & sunshine everyday that it makes me want to live in
knits. so, i imagined what i would want to wear everyday & that would take
me from work to dinner to cocktails without changing.
Q:
How do you stay motivated and inspired everyday?
A:
i get outside & hike, run or just
being out with my dog clears my head & makes me smile. i find those moments
of just being out & happy open my eyes to what's around me: color, shapes,
fresh air.
Q:
What are you most excited about in fashion right now?
A:
selfishly, i am excited about souchi's
one of a kind pieces that are available at our aspen boutique & at trunk
shows. they are so special, incredible shapes, cuts & 15-40 colors in one
piece. absolutely beautiful!!
Q:
What is your top style tip for women (of any age)?
A:
absolutely, never wear clothes that are
too tight. buy clothes that fit & you will always look 5lbs thinner &
forever be comfortable!
Q:
What's your favorite fall indulgence?
A:
shoes & boots of course! now that i
live in aspen my boot taste has changed. i just indulged for my bday in a pair
of ann demeulemeester boots that will be great for the snow & cold weather.
but, i will never give up my heels so i also had to buy a pair of multi colored
snake skin peep toes from dries van noten. i have no self control when it comes
to shoes & sugar
