Jenni Kayne launched her line in 2003 at the young age of 19. After attending Otis College, Jenni became a buyer for a Santa Monica boutique at 18, where she had the opportunity to travel the world and experience the inner workings of production and handicraft techniques.
Inspired by her travels abroad, Jenni launched her eponymous line of American sportswear the next year at L.A Fashion Week. In 2005, she was showing in New York, and in 2008 she became a member of the CFDA.
Jenni Kayne creates classic American sportswear influenced by nature, traveling and her California upbringing. Her designs are simple and uncomplicated, and touch on a beachy, relaxed vibe that has become her signature look.
Jenni describes her designs as "super chic, easy to wear....nothing tricky, nothing precious".
Her line provides easy pieces that can be paired and mixed and matched with ease, catering to
every woman. Her spring 2013 collection features pops of ultra bright color and print mixed with relaxed silhouettes, the perfect combination for easy California chic.
Jenni understands that her customer is an every day woman, rather than a designers muse. In her own words "my customer loves fashion, but she wants clothes that she'll go back to again and again."
